This position is a contractor position for 3 months, with a potential to be extended after that period. This role will be critical in shaping the way our GenAI chatbots interact with users across multiple projects. As a Conversational GenAI Designer, you will be responsible for defining use cases, designing conversational flows, annotating datasets and ensuring quality in our AI-driven chat solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, subject matter experts, linguists, machine learning engineers, and UX designers to create engaging, intuitive, and intelligent conversational experiences for our users. </p><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"></p><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Key Responsibilities </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Use Case Definition: </li><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Identify and define use cases for the chatbot, detailing what the bot should and should not discuss. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Work with stakeholders to align conversational objectives with product goals and user needs. </li></ul><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Conversation Design and Structure: </li><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Write conversational examples that span various interaction types, ensuring natural and meaningful exchanges. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Design multiple conversational flows that support user objectives, using storytelling principles and contextual adaptability. </li></ul><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Dataset Annotation and Review: </li><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Annotate and curate datasets to improve chatbot performance and personalization. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Review generated datasets for quality, accuracy, and relevancy to intended use cases. </li></ul><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Prompt Engineering and Quality Evaluation: </li><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Develop, test, and refine prompts to guide the chatbot in generating accurate, helpful responses. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Collaborate with data scientists and MLEs to evaluate the quality of fine-tuned models and iterate based on feedback. </li></ul><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Cross-Functional Collaboration: </li><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Partner with data scientists, product managers, SMEs, linguists, MLEs, and UX designers to inform and refine conversation design. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Manage and prioritize work across multiple projects, ensuring consistent, high-quality outputs. </li></ul></ul><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"></p><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Qualifications </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> 5+ years of proven experience in conversational design, GenAI, or chatbot development. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Strong understanding of conversational AI principles, including turn-taking, persona development, and conversational ethics. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Excellent copywriting skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and on-brand dialogue. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, and dataset annotation. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Experience with tools for dataset annotation and conversational design. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Comfortable operating in a fully remote and digital environment. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Linguistics, Computer Science, UX Design, Psychology) or equivalent experience. </li></ul><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"></p><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> What we offer </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Opportunity to work on cutting-edge conversational AI technology in a collaborative and innovative environment. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> A supportive team culture that encourages learning and professional development. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Salary Range: $40-55/ hour </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><em> The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA.
