This role will be filled on a temporary basis with the possibility of extending the contract. </p><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><em> This role is for you if you… </em></div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Have proven experience working with software engineering teams and other internal stakeholders to write superior API and SDK documentation. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Prioritize the user and their needs in your documentation, always conveying the bigger picture to ensure cohesion among topics. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Excel at explaining complex technical information in understandable, friendly, and relatable ways. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Demonstrate working knowledge of key terminology in one or more programming languages. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Know how to meet deadlines, track your work, and get the answers you need to meet aggressive deadlines consistently. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Communicate and collaborate professionally and efficiently with a geographically distributed team. </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><strong> Responsibilities </strong></div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Keeping pace with product development teams and adhering to style guidance and examples to produce industry-leading API and programming content. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Collaborate closely with product engineering, product management, integration teams, and other internal stakeholders to write API documentation and programming guides. </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><strong> Required skills and qualifications </strong></div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Bachelor's degree or higher (ideally in English, technical communications, computer science, or a similar field) </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"><strong> 3+ years of experience as a technical writer for a developer audience at an Agile software company </strong></li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"><strong> Proven experience writing detailed, user-centered API and programming documentation in a fast-paced environment </strong></li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Outstanding ability to grasp and communicate interrelationships between topics clearly and meaningfully and to present hierarchical information in a logical and consistent manner </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Advocating for user needs and backing your opinions with experience and facts </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Experience with Markdown or another markup language, like HTML, and Swagger </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> One or more programming languages (Java, Go, Python, Typescript) and OpenAPI </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Ability to handle and prioritize multiple focus areas and tasks </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Faithfully adhering to documented standards and styles </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Enthusiasm for cross-functional collaboration with people at all levels of an organization </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Ability to work in US time zones (ideally Central Standard Time) </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> A strong writing portfolio to demonstrate some or all of these skills </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><em> Preferred qualifications </em></div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> An advanced degree in a related discipline </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Programming experience </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Writing with ReadMe </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><strong> About our client </strong></div><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Our client maintains a fintech ecosystem enabling seamless access, frictionless investing, and investor education for clients of many shapes and sizes, providing scalable solutions that fuel innovation for hundreds of today's market leaders and change makers. </p></p></div></div>
