Your role and your tasks: As our very first DevOps Engineer (m/f/x), you play a crucial role in creating a DevOps culture that drives efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. <ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Establish DevOps Culture : Foster collaboration within the IT team to enhance communication and streamline processes. Collaborate with the other IT teams to understand the requirements and design efficient and reliable DevOps solutions. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Setup the Infrastructure : Build the foundation for deploying the projects for all IT teams, developing the code and making sure it’s shipped with the proper infrastructure. We use AWS , with some services hosted on-premise via Hetzner Bare-Metal . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> IaC & Automation: Design, implement and manage IaC providers (e.g. AWS CDK ) to provision and manage cloud resources efficiently. Automate and simplify manual processes , workflows, and deployments to increase operational efficiency. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects, enabling automated building, testing, and deployment. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Configuration management: Build and manage infrastructure using configuration management tools like Ansible - ensuring scalability, high availability, and quick disaster recovery. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Security and compliance: Integrate best security practices into the development and deployment process and address performance issues and security vulnerabilities. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Monitoring & Trending : Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of applications and infrastructure. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Tool Selection: Evaluate, recommend and implement DevOps tools & technologies that align with company goals and objectives. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Documentation : Document and communicate standards, guidelines, and best practices related to source control, code management, and deployment processes. </li></ul> Requirements: <ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> At least 5+ years proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Linux System Engineering & Hosting , preferably in an agile software development environment. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Good Experience with AWS , and on-premise infrastructure. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Proficient in containerization technologies like Docker / Podman and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Good knowledge of scripting languages like Python and Bash for automating routine tasks. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Solid understanding of configuration management tools, version control systems, and continuous integration tools like git , Bitbucket and Ansible . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus , Uptrends .
