We want to change how the industry works from the inside out. </p><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Clear Contracts is one of our newest products, where we’ve built the industry’s first contract intelligence solution that leverages AI, enables efficient contract management and modeling, and reduces administrative burden. </p><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> We’re looking for a senior engineer experienced in Python to join our team. We have a small, growing, and highly-capable development team. This Level 2 Senior Engineer should be comfortable leading and mentoring developing engineers. </p><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> As you would be working for a fast-growing start-up, your role would be wide-ranging. In this role, we’re looking for someone who can successfully navigate uncertainty and lead complex projects to success. As a leader on the team, you’d have a large impact on the growth and direction of the development team. </p><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> We work heavily with the following tools and technologies: </p><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Python, Django, and a wide range of Python libraries </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> SQL databases, specifically Postgresql </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Data warehousing and processing tools like Amazon Redshift and Apache Airflow </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Open source web infrastructure components, like memcached and Redis </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Cloud environments, including AWS and Heroku </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> A range of AI and Machine Learning tools, which we use to process and enhance our data </li></ul><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><em> Below is a list of ideal qualifications for this position. With a robust, diverse team, we are stronger and better equipped to change the future of healthcare for all. </em></p><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><strong> Job Responsibilities </strong></p><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Lead and mentor developing engineers </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Manage complex projects from design to delivery </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Drive cross-functional discussions to unearth requirements and architect elegant technical solutions </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Develop Django-based applications using Python, Postgresql, etc. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Work with large data sets and pipelines, including data cleaning, analysis, etc. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Write effective, scalable, and testable code </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Improve functionality of existing systems </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Follow security and data protection best practices </li></ul><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><strong> Requirements </strong></p><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> 7+ years work experience in Python, or strong experience in another programming language and some exposure to Python </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Expertise in at least one popular Python web framework (preferably Django) or a similar popular web framework in another language (like Ruby or Rails) </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Good understanding of SQL and how to efficiently use databases to solve problems </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5) </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and help foster a healthy team spirit </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Exemplary problem-solving and communication skills </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Ability to navigate uncertainty and lead complex projects to success </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field, or equivalent experience/knowledge. Additional bonus points if you have experience managing  &  analyzing healthcare data! </li></ul><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><strong> Salary </strong> The salary range for this full-time position is $190,000 - $215,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level, and reflect the minimum and maximum salary across all US locations (they are location agnostic). Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We will talk about compensation in our first conversation and be transparent throughout the process about which level we think is the best match for you in our organization.
