The Director of People and Culture is a strategic, mission-driven leader who oversees equitable, inclusive, and people-centric HR services for our team. In doing so, the Director of People and Culture helps empower, support, and retain leaders who maximize GHC’s impact. The primary responsibilities for this role include day-to-day People operation and overseeing talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits strategy, benefits and payroll HR administration, staff engagement, employee relations, legal compliance, HRIS administration, and People analytics. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the People and Culture Director will be a People Team of one. </div><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"></p><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> People Strategy  &  Organizational Culture </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"></p><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> People Operations </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Lead payroll administration – ADP in this US and working with a payroll provider for GHC’s African countries of operation. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Manage health insurance administration and renewals </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Manage all other GHC benefits (time-off, pensions, 401k, professional development funds, FSAs, commuter benefits, etc.) </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Serve as the first point of contact for People admin services and support </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Be the owner and technical expert of our HR information system (BambooHR), our applicant tracking system (Lever), and our performance management system (Lattice) </li></ul><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"></p><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Talent Acquisition, Management, and Transitions </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Oversee outreach, recruitment, and hiring, with a particular emphasis on strengthening GHC’s commitment to diversity </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Execute and strengthen GHC learning and growth program (annual reviews, 360 feedback, etc.), unlocking excellent staff performance aligned with strategic organizational goals </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Set and steward performance expectations to ensure staff understand the competencies they need to succeed at GHC </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Support managers strengthen staff performance (e.g. setting clear expectations, recognizing good work, documenting and addressing performance issues, etc.) </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Oversee all career milestones from onboarding, and promotions, to offboarding </li></ul><p style="padding: 0;
