You will provide counsel to client service partners and clients alike, and encourage the team to always Think Further about new possibilities. You will play a strong role in the continued development of the writing team and in generating new business. </p><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Key responsibilities: </p><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Champions best practice among the medical writing team and works closely with the Editorial Team Lead/Head of Editorial to continuously evolve and improve our service offering. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Challenges the status quo to ensure continuous improvement delivery. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Mentors and manages members of the writing team, and supports with resource management, training and recruitment. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Maintains a high profile within the agency for content knowledge and expertise, and leads the content for designated accounts. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Provides scientific and strategic counsel to clients and internal teams regarding complex narratives/portfolio messaging development. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Establishes strong relationships with external scientific experts and client teams; viewed as a valued partner. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Proactively makes recommendations for enhancing programme development and drives organic growth </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Leads scientific aspects of pitch development with an emphasis on complex narratives and portfolio recommendations </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Qualifications </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Good at understanding and communicating complex science (you should hold a bachelor’s degree in the life sciences [2:1 or above] and ideally a master’s degree or PhD) </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Able to develop strong relationships – based on exceptional verbal, as well as written, communication abilities – and comfortable providing advice and guidance to others </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Extensive medical writing experience within a medical communications agency or an in-house pharma med comms team, demonstrating: </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Overarching scientific and content leadership for multiple accounts </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Responsibility for maintaining high editorial and scientific standards across a team </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Development of junior  &  mid-level writing talent through direct line management and training </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> An ability to motivate  &  inspire a writing team, and elevate standards of content curation </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Strong client and expert relationships </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Additional Information </div><p style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"><strong> An inclusive workplace </strong> The more diverse our team, the more imaginative, intelligent and inspirational our culture and our work will become.
