Our head office is located in Portugal in the heart of Lisbon (Avenida da Liberdade) and we work mainly for the European market. <div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Job Description </div> Position : Senior Machine Learning / Large Language Model Engineer Duration : 6 months (part-time) Hours : Ideally 15 hours per week / 60 hours per month Location : Candidates must be located within the European Union or have already relocated to E.U. countries from Ukraine, CIS, Balkans, Asia, or Africa. Due to data sensitivity, only E.U.-based candidates are eligible. Flexible Working Hours : Clients may adapt working time according to experience and rate. We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Generative AI to work on a cutting-edge health chatbot project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Large Language Models (LLMs) , Generative AI tools , and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. This part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful AI solutions, collaborating within a team while maintaining flexibility. Key Responsibilities <ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI solutions using state-of-the-art LLM technologies . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Build and optimize RAG pipelines for enhanced information retrieval. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Develop scalable APIs using FastAPI for AI service deployment. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Integrate knowledge bases and vector databases using frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Implement and monitor performance metrics for AI models and systems. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Ensure all systems meet security and compliance requirements. </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Qualifications </div><ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Experience : At least 5 years of professional experience in Machine Learning/AI development . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Technical Skills : <ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Proficiency in Python programming . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Experience with GenAI tools/frameworks : LangChain, LlamaIndex, and RAG systems. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Familiarity with ChatGPT/OpenAI APIs and prompt engineering. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Expertise in building RESTful APIs using FastAPI . </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Solid understanding of SQL databases and version control systems like Git. </li></ul></li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> MLOps : <ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Model deployment and optimization. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Monitoring and scaling ML systems. </li></ul></li></ul> Preferred Skills <ul style="margin: 15px 0 15px 0; padding: 0 0 0 20px"><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Understanding of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate). </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Knowledge of ML monitoring and observability tools. </li><li style="margin-bottom: 5px"> Contribution to open-source projects . </li></ul><div style="padding: 0; margin: 15px 0 15px 0"> Additional Information </div> If you are looking for a fast-paced multinational company and have a desire to be part of the exciting state-of-the-art projects across Europe, send us your application in English.
